At some point in the conversation an answer summary can be created to reflect a consensus of the participating community. And most recently a blogging feature, has been added, known as Quora Posts.

The new social media network is said to accumulate knowledge, it is reusable, collaborative, it is continually improving, organized, targeted and everything on Quora is tied back to a person.

Compared to Twitter it has captured the attention of lots of people including those that are not so keen on social media. The new social page has not been as criticized as Twitter was when it was being said that unless you were a true IT and Information Geek it was useless. pg79th

Quora is useful and this is evident and it is very accessible, while in Twitter you need time to be able to gain insight and return on your invesment. In Quora you register, make a question and suddenly you have users discussing the topic.

The site defines itself as a collection that constantly creates new content through questions and answers posted, edited and organized by all the participants. It could as well be defined as the market of knowledge. blowie

It has created a space in which people, including senior executives of important companies, share detailed information, either by answering questions, offering tips or simply placing out there inside info and rumors. It is going to be interesting to see the direction it takes when it reaches the general public. quoras

Twitter has been an interesting practice ground and it is possible that Quora will turn into a very useful tool for many. The idea is to ask specific questions directed to people that know what they are talking about, something that search engines and social networks have not been able to accomplish so far. The way it is going, soon we will start seeing the effectiveness and the return on investment for the new social media application.
